You can't do that with FR, you'll need to use a different product.

I haven't checked this but generally speaking you can use the column formula to define a date or period range.  The periods and dates of the transactions include the dates and periods.  That is how you specify the period for the transactions on the report from FRPOST.

True, but you still can't filter on optional fields with FR.  

well you can't specify from the report parameter screen but you do specify what optional field code to include in the column formula.

Yeah, I know how to pull that information and to add some journal date filters but it was really about passing the FR View Parameter to filter the Optional fields that I wanted. 

If you really need to use the optional fields for something, better to use an SI report and you will need the connector to add the optional fields to whatever container.

That's my new plan. Too bad, I will need to redesign something in SAI that is already done in FR except for that portion.

I have a report where the column selection is as follows where the optional field is HORSE and there are columns for each horse being the value in the optional field of HORSE01, HORSE02 etc etc
