That's the correct field

I do realize that's the correct field, however when I add it as a record selection it has no effect. There are only two tables in the report APSLVEN and APVEN linked only on Vendor ID. The report grouping is based on APSLVEN, but the SWACTV field is in the APVEN table and I suspect that is the issue, but I have not been able to figure out.

Something to try would be to put the selection criteria into a new header section on the report. You can find the selection criteria as a special field in the formula editor, if I recall correctly. Then print the report and see what it is showing.

The reason I suggest this is that some reports in Sage 300 have the selection criteria generated at runtime and pushed to the report much like you'd set a field criteria - and it overrides the selection criteria that the report has saved in it.

Nope. I think I'm going to have to go another route and add all the inactive vendors to a new vendor group and then print the report by vendor group.

Active/Inactive seems like it would be a commonly used parameter, I'm surprised it's not an option in the UI.

This particular client has hundreds of inactive vendors they don't want to send the letter to.

Hi Darren, interesting. I added the field APVEN.SWACTV to the report and all the records, even the inactive records, return a value of 1. Do you get the same result?

Yes, I get the same. I ended up creating a new vendor group exported the vendor list, added all the inactive vendors to the new group, imported back in, then just excluded that group when printing the stock report
