 With Sage Summit 2014 happening this month let’s highlight some Sage 500 ERP sessions you should check out while in Las Vegas.

Let’s break down the Sage 500 ERP sessions you can find during Sage Summit 2014 day by day. All times listed are Pacific Daylight Time.

Tuesday July 29, 2014

  • At 10:30 am-Noon hear Don Farber go through Collections and cash management simplified in Sage 500 ERP. Look for session IND-342 in the Sage Summit 2014 session guide.

  • Want to know what is coming up in Sage 500 ERP? Attend Linda Cade’s Sage 500 ERP: Road Ahead (session BUS-347) will be at 1:30pm-2:30pm.
  • At 4:30-5:30pm Philip Kennedy presents: “When the numbers don't make sense: Reconciling inventory management in Sage 500 ERP” (session RIS-358). This session guides you through the processes needed to determine the correct numbers, synch the number across various reports, and maintain the integrity of those numbers consistently.

  • Also at 4:30pm-5:30pm Jonathan Abebe and Richard Zervakos will present Sage 500 ERP: Moving the ERP out of the back office: The Sage Data Cloud and mobility for Sage 500 ERP. Register for session BUS-343.

Wednesday July 30, 2014

  • This session, entitled Sage Intelligence Report Designer Add-in: Revolutionizing financial reporting for Sage 100 and 500 ERP (Hands-on), has Susan Moore covering all design aspects using the Sage Intelligence Report Designer. Time: 10am-11am. Use BUS-330 to register for this session.

  • At 10am-11am Jonathan Abebe and Richard Zervakos will present Sage 500 ERP: Electronic cash receipt options in Sage 500 ERP. This session is listed as BUS-360 in the Sage Summit 2014 session schedule.
  • Join Linda Cade at 10am-11am for Sage 500 ERP: Shaping the future of Sage 500 ERP. This session, BUS-355 gives you an opportunity to see where Sage 500 ERP is headed and get a feel for both the individual features and the overall focus of upcoming releases as well as give direct input on the feature development.
  • From 11:30am-12:30pm Joe Noll presents Sage 500 ERP: The power of the cube: Getting the most out of business insights views. This session (BUS-341) focuses on the powerful results you can achieve by writing, creating, and optimizing views or cubes against your SQL database.
  • BUS-582: Easy-to-use advanced business insights for your entire enterprise with Sage Enterprise Intelligence for Sage 500 ERP will be held from 2pm-3:30pm. See how Sage Enterprise Intelligence can drive productivity and help you work smarter, not harder. Use BUS-582 to register.

  • And at 2pm-3pm, Darrick Coles will present a hands-on session entitled Making Sage 500 ERP work the way you work with customizer. In this session, you will learn about the options available for customizing Sage 500 ERP and which one will work best for you. If you are interested in attending this session, make sure you register for session IND-349.

  • Darrick Coles also presents session IND-361 Customer price management in Sage 500 ERP: How did it come up with that number? This session, at 4pm-5pm, will explain the various pricing methods in Sage 500 ERP, the pricing hierarchy, and even how to do mass pricing changes that could save you grey hairs and hours of lost sleep.
  • Also at 4pm-5pm, Linda Cade presents RIS-340: The what, why, and how of purging data in Sage 500 ERP. This session examines the various utilities, the recommended order of purge, when to enlist the assistance of a consultant, and other pertinent information.

Thursday July 31, 2014

  • Also at 10am-11am, attend the hands-on Sage Intelligence Report Designer Add-in: Revolutionizing financial reporting for Sage 100 and 500 ERP session where Susan Moore will take you through the new Excel financial formulas, in-memory processing engine, and enhancements made to improve performance and flexibility over reporting layouts.   • From 11:30am-12:30pm Linda Cade presents RIS-353: Sage 500 ERP: Where are we going from here? Planning for your next ERP solution.

  • At 2pm-3pm Jonathan Abebe and Richard Zervakos will be presenting a session on upgrading to the latest version of Sage 500 ERP. Look for session IND-348: Sage 500 ERP: What are you missing, and what are you waiting for? Experiencing an upgrade: A customer's perspective

  • Find out What every IT manager should know about managing Sage 500 ERP in session RIS-344 that runs from 4pm-5pm.
