Cannot Install SDK Framework (Error=Client not installed) BUT client IS installed!

I am attempting to install the 7.2 ( I KNOW...OLD!) SDK Framework on a Windows 2008 R2 environment. The installation error says "Sage MAS 500 Client is not installed". HOWEVER, the client IS installed.

I tried uninstalling the client (and the client MU), re-installing just the base client, re-installing the client as administrator, all without success. If I install the client and correct client MU I can run 500.

SO....what EXACTLY is the Framework installer looking for to see if the client is installed? Could it be related to the OS being a 64 bit and files are installed in the program file (x86) folder instead of just program files?

Any help would be appreciated!

I believe you could be correct about the 64 bit system.  I don't believe that version of Sage 500 was ever tested on that type of system and it is possible that the installer is only looking at the Program File directory and not the Program File (x86) directory to see if the client is installed.    As this seems to be a development machine and not a production machine, have you tried to install the Sage 500 Client to the Program Files directory instead to see if that corrects the issue?
