Using Sage 500 2017 w/ Windows 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Server - programs not staying open and going to taskbar and random order.

We were previously on Citrix and switched to Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS - we have 3 locations.  We also upgraded from Sage 500-2013 to 2017.  It's been a mess after doing so.  After opening a task, the program (such as sales order) opens for a second, the automatically minimizes to the taskbar.  The user has to click on the taskbar to open the program.  In addition to this, the order of the windows is random, so our users are spending a lot of time clicking on the taskbar to do their job and find the programs they need to be in.  In some cases, users have multiple tasks open at the same time, but this has become almost impossible with the amount of clicking that's required.  This did not happen with Citrix.

I've submitted a case with Sage, they've acknowledged the "Defect", but it's status is "Deferred" and likely will not be fixed.  In the meantime, the users deal with unnecessary clicking and lost productivity and increased frustration.

I've had our settings on the RDS server looked at and they are correct.  We are using Windows 10 and 7 to connect to RDS, the issue seems more prevalent with Windows 10.  The only work around I've found is to now install the client locally on each PC.  After doing this, the performance of Sage 500 has improved, windows are opening as they should and not minimizing on the task bar.  I've done this for 3 employees and testing is in it's early stages.  Since we have 3 locations, this is not ideal, as every update that's done, will now have to be done on each client.

Has anyone else had this issue?  If so, have you called Sage Support on it and does anyone have any other options?  I have burnt up so much time on this issue and our end users are completely frustrated with Sage 500.
