Admin Sign on to setup users screen

Good Day to All,

I believe I was told that there is a way for an admin to sign in to a users local screen to set it up for them.

Like the user preferences under System manager. Some one else told me you have to give the user Sys admin rights and then take it away from them.

Could anyone please clarify how this is done.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and guidance.

    Hi pboo,

When you first setup the new Sage 500 user, you can log in as that user and go into the User Preferences task and select the preferences desired for that user.

If the user has already been setup and has changed their password, then you could try to give them only rights to the User Preferences task so they can make the necessary changes. (From Maintain Security Groups, select security group, select ModuleID = SM, scroll down and locate User Preferences and change permission to Normal.) Then after they are done making changes, go back and change the permission to Excluded.
