What is Sage 50 Intelligence Reporting?

1 minute read time.

Sage 50—U.S. Edition Intelligence Reporting is a powerful tool that allows you to view pre-formatted reports and create your own reports in Microsoft Excel. This is much more powerful than simply sending a report to Excel. Intelligence Reporting sends a report to Excel that has extensive filtering capabilities, data containers, and pivot tables you can use to customize each report. You can use the Report Manager to create new reports so that you don't have to customize the report in Excel every time you run it.

There are additional add-on components that are available which allow you to create your own data containers and include data from different databases in the same report.

Also, there are standard reports that have been created for Sage 50—U.S. Edition Intelligence Reporting. These reports will open in Microsoft Excel. Once in Excel, you can easily filter these reports and add additional fields to these reports to get the exact information that you need. Currently there are ten Standard Intelligence Reports that  come with Sage 50—U.S. Edition (You may get more reports through updates). These reports are mainly for Dashboard, Financial, Inventory, Sales and Purchase reporting.

Note:

  • You must have Microsoft Excel 2003 or later to use Sage 50 Intelligence Reporting.
  • Some Sage 50 Intelligence Reporting reports were not designed for companies that have a 13 period calendar year. If your company has a 13 period calendar year, your Intelligence Reporting reports may have columns that do not display the way you expect and may need to be adjusted.

Thanks.
