Announcing the 2nd January 2022 Tax Update for Releases 2021 and 2022

What's New

State and Local Tax Changes

  • Arkansas State Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed.
  • Colorado State Income Tax
    Added the formula for the Head of Household filing status. 
  • Kentucky State Income Tax
    Standard deduction changed. 
  • Louisiana State Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed.
  • Minnesota State Income Tax
    Allowance and withholding tables changed.
  • Mississippi Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed. 
  • New Jersey Paid Family Leave
    State Unemployment Insurance Formula updated to use Paid Family Leave payroll field ST_FLI_EE. Please review the setup instructions here.
  • North Carolina State Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed.
  • North Dakota State Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed.
  • Rhode Island State Income Tax
    The 2022 withholding tables changed.
  • Vermont State Income Tax

Making Sure Your Tax Update is Applied

This update will be sent to you automatically through your product. The version for this tax update is 20220103 or 20220104 for release 2021, and 20220104 for release 2022. Follow these steps to make sure that your tax update was applied:

  1. Open your Sage 50 company.
  2. Select Help > About Sage 50 Accounting.
  3. Confirm that the installed Tax Update version number matches the version number listed above.
  4. If your Installed Tax Update version number does not match:
    1. Select ServicesCheck for Updates > Check Now.
    2. If multiple updates appear, select the update(s) you want to install, then select Download.
    3. After the download is finished, exit Sage 50 and the update will begin.
