Importing a journal.csv file into Sage.

I have a correctly formatted .csv file to import the general journal from a Quickbooks export, into Sage Line 50. The import starts correctly, but fails at line 50 with a Date error. The date is 01/13/17 - it appears that Sage will not accept any date after 01/12/17 as I have tried deleting the 2 offending lines (as there are two distributions) dated 01/13/17. Any ideas, please?

If you can manually enter a GL journal with the date of 01/13/17 and save the transaction, then something is wrong with your import file. If you want to send the csv file to me I will take a look to help you troubleshoot the problem. [email protected]

After much experimenting, it suddenly dawned on me to change the date format on the import from mm/dd/yy to dd/mm/yy. It worked! Of course, there is no month 13....

Glad to hear you figured it out. Just wondering, are your periods inside Sage set up as dd/mm/yy?
