Is there anyway to run a GL report that shows the transaction description for activity hitting a balance sheet account without having to click into the transaction?

So this issue completely baffles me.  I am trying to review some balance sheet account activity but I am getting frustrated because I can't figure out how to run a report that displays transaction description like it does for an Income Statement Account.  All it shows is the Vendor whereas an income statement account will show have the following format "Vendor - Transaction Description".

Any ideas?  This just seems completely asinine that default General Ledger Report will show completely different information depending on the Account type despite being part of the same Accounting Entry.
