Unfortunately when I do that I get a report back with no data.

Shirley's answer is definitely correct. I tested it in version 2020.2 to make sure there wasn't a new bug I hadn't run into yet, and it worked for me. I would recommend that you double check your invoices and make sure they are being posted to the correct AR account. That field defaults to whatever account was used on the last invoice. As a result I've seen cases where the AR account was changed (sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident) and nobody noticed that all invoices after that were posting to the wrong AR account.

I use Sage 50 Quantum Accounting 2020, could that be the difference?

Go to the Help menu and choose "About Sage 50 Accounting." In the window that opens, find the Build number. If it starts with 27.2 then you are using version 2020.2. If it starts with 27.0 or 27.1 you could try updating to see if that solves the problem.

To check for updates, go to the services menu and choose "Check for Updates." If you have multiple users, you will have to install the update at the server first.

I would also recommend opening Bellwether Garden Supply or one of the other sample companies and trying the report there. You will probably need to enter an invoice with a different AR account for testing.
