Inventory List columns customization

The "Inventroy List" default columns are "Item ID & Description & Item Class & Price Level 1 & Last Unit Cost". I go to Settings =>add the columns i need, such as QTY oh Hand but it i closed the "Inventroy List" and re-open again, the columns will be go back to default. 

Can i save the setting i need?

    This could be caused by a damaged USERPREF.DAT file. You can try deleting or renaming that file. If you don't know where your company's data files are located, go to the Maintain menu and choose Company Information. The Directory field will show you where your data is located.

    Get everyone out of Sage 50. Open the folder that holds your company's data. Locate UserPref.dat and delete or rename the file.

    Go back into Sage 50. When you open your company it will create a new UserPref.dat file. You may loose some settings that previously saved, but you should be able to save changes to the list now.

    As an extension/alternative to StephenC's reply, make sure that you are clicking the OK button after customizing your Inventory List. If you simply click on the X to close out of the screen, you are not saving the changes that you've made to the List Display. If you can't see the OK button on your Settings screen, then you are using a font size in Windows that is too large for Sage 50 to be able to display the full screen. Make sure that you are only running the 100% Recommended resolution within Windows as Sage 50 is optimized for small fonts. https://pcosupport.com 800-780-0700.

    Hi StephenC and Termerins,

    Thank you for your help.

    I just follw your instration , change the  USERPREF.DAT file name and re-open sage 50 again. The USERPREF.DAT auto created again and i try to customiza the "Inventory List", i can see the OK buttom and make sure i click it. However, when i close the "Inventory List" and open it again, it will comeback to default.

    Hi Roy,   Thanks for the photos!

    After highlighting the item, you need to "Add" it to the list on the right.  Then click ok. 

    You also may wish to adjust the width of your columns.   Put your mouse on the line between the items on the title bar at the top and pull it to the left!  You can also change the position by clicking on the column and dragging it to a new location.

    According to the knowledgebase entry Cannot Save or change Settings in List there are two other thing that could cause this problem. One is having an incorrect data path on the workstation. The other is Regional and Language Options are not set to English (United States). Based on your screenshots, I'm guessing the problem is the language settings.

    You could try changing the language to English (United States), make the changes to the list, then change the language settings back.

    It is work when I change to English (United States) but if change back to my original language (Chinese Traditional), it will go back to default again
