Hi everybody,
I am a user of Sage Peachtree Quantum 2010, Accountant Edition here from one of the developing countries. Before I share the query, here is a little background; we use the pirated version of this software for our book-keeping needs which is available on CDs. Since that is easily available, whereas the paid versions are not available in our country. Coming back to the query; I reinstalled my windows without realizing that the software was stored in Drive C, which eventually lead to data loss of my company records of 2 years. Fortunately, using one data recovery software I was able to retrieve all the files including the backup that Peachtree stores as a default. However when I open the now installed Peachtree software it does not display the recovered file along with sample companies and I am unable to retrieve my company data, the company is simply not showing there. I am attaching some screenshots of the problem that I am facing for reference.
Precisely; the lost data is recovered from the drive but the software is unable to retrieve it. What do I do now? I am really stressed, I know it is my mistake that I did not extract the data nor created a manual backup before reinstalling my windows. But it is my hard work of 2 years, it has all company financial recordings, a loss of which would cost my job. I am a non-techy person so I do not know much about software and all. Please help!
I plan on buying the Sage Cloud Accounting once I recover this data to avoid such mishaps in future. Please suggest options that I may have considering the software is not available in our part of the world.
Thanks in advance.
