**RESOLVED** Can't print anymore Sage 50 Quantum Accounting 2023

***RESOLVED***   THIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED       One user out of 8 cannot print anymore. They get an error message saying Sage 50 Accounting has "Bad or missing form file. Please reinstall Sage 50 Accounting". The remaining users can print. 6/12/23 Sage Tech Support says they can fix the corrupt file, but it will COST US AN ADDITIONAL $1,900.00.  They also said this is not in the annual contract fine print, it's not their problem and this will eventually happen to the rest of the users so we might as well pay it now.  We called back and got a different tech and they said the exact same thing as if they are reading from a script. Why can't they fix it and send out an update to every paying customer? We've been a Sage customer for 12+ years, pay $4,000 annually for this software. Has anyone else been told this by Sage Tech Support or having this same print issue??

    I don't think you are taking to Sage unless they were telling you that you did not have an active business care plan and you need to upgrade. Their number is  866-747-3888.

    If you have support with Sage, they can assist you with this problem. It sounds like you might have reached a company that is not actually Sage as I have heard of this before with some other Sage users. If your on Sage 2023 you could try uninstalling then reinstalling Sage on that workstation. Here is a support document that should help

    Our issue has been corrected.  Our IT department called the wrong number and reached a bogus company.

    Glad you were able to correct the issue.  If they were in your computer, you may wish to change your passwords!

    A pesky error message keeps popping up, stating "Uh-oh! Bad or missing form file. Looks like a Sage 50 Accounting reinstallation might do the trick." Oddly, the rest of the crew doesn't seem to be affected. The plot thickens – after reaching out to Sage Tech Support on June 12th, 2023, they proposed a solution involving a "corrupt file" and, wait for it, a $1,900 price tag. What's raising eyebrows is their claim that this falls beyond our annual contract's umbrella, and apparently, it's not on them. What's even stranger is their crystal ball prediction that the same issue will eventually haunt all users, so we should just shell out now.

    If you believe you've been scammed, report it to Sage at 866-996-7243 and our Risk Team. In the United States, report to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as well. 

    Note that Sage will never pressure you into quick actions or request sensitive information over the phone. Authentic Sage sites will always use domains like "sage.com."

    For legitimate resources, visit Sage.com and use the 'Support' option in the top menu. This will redirect you to your local 'Sage Support Central' page.

    For services outside the scope of a regular service plan (such as form customizations), discover the Sage Expert Services available for our various Sage products. Hope this helps!
