When you export your customer list, turn on the filter =to "Active". In the Fields Tab check the boxes in the Show Column for Last Invoice Date, Last Payment Date and perhaps Last Statement Date.  Once you export the data as a .csv file you can then also save it as an Excel file to filter the data to your satisfaction.

However, exporting the data will not eliminate the customers in Sage. You would have to inactivate the customers since 2017 and run a purge for ALL transactions through the end of 2017.

You don't have to go through all of that.  Did you know that you can go to your SYSTEM tab on the left side of your dashboard screen, then go to Data Maintenance > Then to Make Records Inactive?  You choose the date then you can mark, customers, vendors, and inventory items inactive all at once. 

After doing this, you may purge but if just don't want them to show up, go to Options, top menu bar > Global > Accounting tab, and hide inactive records!
