Go to Reports/Accounts Receivable/Customer List and you can hit the columns button and add the Sales Tax ID field to that report and also filter it for Active customers by hitting the Options button.
I appreciate your response! I am looking for the actual sales tax percentage as opposed to the ID that references the percentage. And that sales tax percentage can have multiple taxing authorities combined into that total. For example. State is 5%, city is 1% so the total is 6%, need that broken down and then be able to export to excel.
If the codes are setup properly, based on the agency matrix, which looks like yours are then you just need to run the Sales Tax Report under Reports/Accounts Receivable/Taxable/Exempt Sales and this will give you the breakdown by agency to file the return:
If you need a breakdown by customer you can use the report right about that one called Sales taxes and export that to Excel and then use a pivot table to align with your customer records. There isn't a way to get the sales tax breakdown on the customer list report or get the customers added to the Sales Taxes report using the canned report. Crystal reports would be an option but if this is a one time thing I would just use Excel. john@bottomline-acctg.com
Thank you!!!
