customizing forms for invoices

I have tried everything to get my customized invoice form on my entry screen. I click on the layout and select my customized form and the form that opens is nothing like what my invoices should look like when I try entering my invoices.  I can go to a invoice and select print and select the form I want and preview screen shows my customized invoice.  Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  Just need to see my customized screen when entering.  Help!!!

  • You can add or take away fields on the entry screen but YOU CANNOT CUSTOMIZE THE LAYOUT ON THE ENTRY SCREEN.

    So how do I enter my invoice information on an invoice that doesn’t match my customized invoice.  The entries are not where I want them to be.  On my old peach tree I was able to customize and use the same customized invoice on my entry screen and print.

    can anybody give the steps on handling w to solve this problem?

    As Best Business Strategies said, you cannot translate the Forms Design to your entry screen; they will never, and have never, looked the same. You do have some flexibility when you use Layouts on the entry screen, which can be accessed at the top of your Sales/Invoicing entry screen. There, you can remove fields from the screen, but you cannot add fields, nor can you rearrange fields to make your entry screen match your Forms Design. No versions of Peachtree/Sage 50 have ever been able to do that.
