Formatting check amount with asterisks

We recently upgraded to Sage 50 and have not been able to configure the form to add asterisks "*" before the numeric check amount. The asterisks fill in after the numbers. Is anyone using the asterisks before the check amount and how were you able to configure this?

Depending on your version of Sage 50 and the form template you're using, you'll need to access the form design or layout fast gas smartwhip editor. This may be found in the program's settings, preferences, or printing options.
