Inventory module

We recently purchased Sage software to manage inventory items.  I have a few questions, 1) is a way to upload inventory items from an excel spreadsheet?  If yes, could you please send me instructions?  Or do we have an email for support?  2) If we are only utilizing the Inventory module, are we required to set up all the company data, such as account codes?  3) Are we required to tie in account codes to the inventory items?
