I needed to make an exact copy of my company for testing purposes. To do this, I made a backup and then restored to a new company. As soon as the restore was done, I went to Maintain - Company Information and changed the company name. This changed the company name in both the original and the copy, and whenever I change it in one spot to try and fix it, it changes it in both. Any clues as to how to how this happened, and (more importantly) how to fix it would be very appreciated!

When you look at the companies they all end with a different letter
For example, my original company is besbusst
The second company I restored is besbussu
This is from my directory. Each time you create a new company, the last letter changes.
Do you know the directory of the one you want to get rid of? If not, open the company. Look at the data. When you find the one you want to delete, go to Maintain> Company information and look at the directory name (see gray box) write it down. Backup the company just to be safe!!
Now go to Windows Explorer, follow the directory path, and delete that company file.
