Hi. I'm doing some research for my father who is the treasurer for a local non-profit. He has been on an old Windows machine for many years, running Simply Accounting v 6.0c, including the AcctPak International plug-in (as he described it to me).

He would like to upgrade his computer and I'm trying to help him confirm if / what an upgrade path would be for him for the accounting data.

From what I can tell, Sage 50 has replaced Simply Accounting. However, looking around the site, I can only see references to SaaS versions of the solution. So, my questions:

• What is the difference between Sage 50 and Sage One? Which would be appropriate for a small non-profit?
• Are these available as installable software packages (again, for Windows) rather than as SaaS solutions?
• Given how old his current version is, is there a migration path from v 6.0c to the current version of either Sage One or Sage 50?
