A field to enter a shipment tracking number that shows on my invoice.

Question

I would like to have a field that has the shipment tracking information number on it. I set up a template and used the shipment tracking field; but can find a field on the sales/invoice input form to place the information. I know that there was a UPS tracking feature in earlier version; I m simply trying to find a filed to enter a tracking number. If anyone can be of assistance it would be appreciated.

On Sales Invoice, there is Notes button, you can use Customer Notes, and select to Print either Before or After Line Description. For more details see KB 15638 How can I add a customer note to an invoice?

FWIW The Ship Via field is 20 characters long, and once you get to the invoice, your tracking # pretty much shows which shipping company you are using, and if you are using PRO number, they are usually not even 10 characters long.

This is a real struggle. I understand why Sage got rid of the UPS connection, but not why they got rid of the shipping fields. Seems silly to take away something that was already programmed in.
