How to reduce Database size in Quantum?

We just purged our Sage 50 Quantum database and it is still 1.5 Gigs.  The Sage support reps say this is too big. The big records are:

Audit Trail   55MB

Customer   21 MB

Event Log   56 MB

Inventory Tag (Costing)   367 MB

Journal Header   132 MB

Journal Rows      819 MB

Other than purge, what are the options for reducing the database size. We have about 7 years of data in Sage. We're not a big company. Have we really hit the limits of Quantum?

    Hi Ben_Ross,

    There is no set limit for the size of a company in Sage 50. However, larger databases may experience reduced performance.A database size of 250,000 Kilobytes or more is considered to be large. I will recommend to purge each year, but if there is not performance issue, you should be fine. Click here for more information about company data size.
