You can schedule your backup with Sage 50. We do that but we also use an outside service called Enveloc. They backup your program daily at your desired time. If the backup does not go through, you are notified. If we are your Enveloc partner, we are also notified. The backups are color coded so we know when you have not back up overnight. Unless other arrangements are made, when you have not backed up for a week, you go red line and we start calling you!

FYI-- This service has saved us and our clients. I had a client go red line. I called her on the phone to do the backup. She no sooner finished the backup and the computer crashed! That my friend was a miracle!

1. Why doesn't Sage offer this?
2. How much is Enveloc? - I don't see that their website has pricing info. (Hate that!)

Hi John, It will depend on the type of back up they provide. It can be for anything from your whole computer to a couple of back up files. It can be stored in one location or two. Call me and we will discuss this off line.
