I have the same question!  Most of my recipients use their SSN versus a FEIN.  I have to manually type in every single name! Is there not a work around for this?  Why doesn't the name field in the Vendor Management account for this?  This is very inconvenient.  

Unfortunately, due to the new IRIS system that Aatrix is using you may encounter the "Recipient First and Last Name required" error... I'm sure it will be corrected in future Sage 50 updates but until then you may have to enter the name in the field manually or follow the steps in this Aatrix Knowledgebase article... i have a few question besides the name question

1) why is the 1099 list including vendors under the $600 limit?

2) why can't you choose NEC as the 1099 type in the vender defaults?  all the drop down shows is NA.

3) what name to we put in if its a company with a FEIN as first and last name?

These are due in 6 days will the program be fixed by then?

That did not answer any of the 3 questions i asked.

It is very frustrating that Sage cannot keep up with needed adjustments for year end tasks - needed requirements for reporting!  We pay a lot of money for yearly licensing, upgrades are done - yet they are always behind the times.  Always.   Next year they may or may not fix this issue - but what else will change that they don't fix.   

It is frustrating that Aatrix has given instructions how to separate first/last names and then cut/paste the info into Aatrix, I have over 300 1099's so that is a bunch of wasted time for the fee both paid to Sage and Aatrix.  Then today I noticed all the email fields are blank in Aatrix, even though in Sage the detail is in there, so if I want to email the same 1099's I have to copy and paste all their emails in there too - after all the copy and paste already done for the first/last name. Aatrix fee for these, in excess of $600. If anyone knows a better way, please share.
