64 bit ODBC driver?

I saw a link from over a year ago to an Actian page. It requires a login.

Is there a 64 bit driver. I just did the install of the latest Sage 50 and an ODBC driver a couple months ago. But all I have is a 32 bit version.

I have Access connected via that for some specialized reports and exchanging data with our ECommerce platform using Power Automate. But I would like to be able to run certain queries using Power Automate and the 32 bit driver and data sources cannot be accessed.

Thanks.

My question is similiar. The instructions from SAGE at Connecting to your Sage 50 data using ODBC are for 32-bit connector and even direct users of 64-bit OS, to use the 32-bit Connector.

However, the issue is that there is no verification/direction regarding the bit depth of Excel. 64-bit has been the standard due to enhanced stability and memory usage over the 32 bit version.

Does anybody have any explicit information on these issues? Is there bit-version options for SAGE50? Will be necessary to switch to x86(32-bit) versions of Excel(Office)?

We could not connect 64 bit office to Sage. We are running 32bit Office.

Note: We are using Power Automate Desktop (PAD) to move data to & from our ECommerce platform. I cannot query Access, the Sage Connector, or Excel using Power Automate (using a SQL connection string).

Fortunately, I can connect to Excel through PAD - even though PAD is 64 bit and Excel is 32 bit. I can then launch a series of VBA macros from PAD - via Excel. Because Excel is 32 bit, I run a number of SQL commands to move my data to and from our Access/Sage connected reporting tool.

It's working great! But what a hassle!

I've been searching for an answer to this question for a few years now. It's absurd to not have a 64-bit driver in 2023.

There is a company called Progress that will sell you a 64 bit driver, so they say, no idea if it works. Licensing was per core, per year, many many thousands of dollars when I spoke to them.
