Hello, I know i can design a balance sheet but i want to know how i can choose various accounts but not as a range, just choose in between them.
Hi Eduardo Luco ,
Thanks for reaching out. To do this, after opening the balance sheet report, you can use the 'Columns' option to select individual accounts. Check the boxes next to the accounts you want to include in your custom balance sheet. Remember, if the 'Show' button next to a field is grayed out, it may not be added due to the report's sorting order.
Additionally, for more complex reporting needs or to further customize your report, you might find the Logicim XLGL tool useful. It's a Microsoft Excel add-on designed for flexible Sage 50 U.S. Edition reporting. As a customer, you can get a special 20% discount by visiting the XLGL page for Sage 50.
If you need more detailed steps, the article on customizing reports provides a guide for using options, columns, and saving your custom report, which you can find here: Customize Reports in Sage 50.
If this helps please mark it as verified :)
Warm Regards,
Erzsi
I don't see the columns option, can you share a screenshot?
Within Sage 50, you can choose various G/L Account that are non-sequential for any Financial Statement using the internal Financial Statement Design. You can even add together these non-sequential accounts without including those inbetween the accounts that you have added. There is a lot that the internal Financial Statement Design function will allow you to do without needing to invest in a third-party application. We offer training on Financial Statement Design, if interested.

We are trying to do exactly that consolidate non sequential GL codes into a single line item on our BS. We are using Sage 50 (2024 version) and I cannot find the "internal financial statement design" functionality that you mention.
You access the "internal Financial Statement Design" in Sage 50 by highlighting the Financial Statement Name and click on the Design icon at the top of the screen. Totaling non-sequential GL Codes can be done, but very difficult to explain via Sage Community Hub. You can reach out to us directly and we can train you on how to do this (for a fee).
