Hi
I don't think that is possible , using the SDK would mean you have all the access to it's data .
But you may try setting the User inside Sage with less Privileges and then try it yourself.
But when generating the application ID, can't they configure us it based on the seurity rights?
The user security setup in the Sage 50 company can carry into your application through the API.
Sample API code below:
' Check to see if company uses security If (ptApp.CheckCompanyUsesPasswords(sCompanyPath)) Then ' Open company using company user name and password ptApp.OpenCompanySecure(sCompanyPath, "Company Username", "Company Password")
Dear John,
Thank you very much for your answer. Can you further elaborate this ? Where can I find those methods CheckCompanyUsesPasswords(sCompanyPath) and OpenCompanySecure(sCompanyPath, "Company Username", "Company Password")? I could not find any sample code from the SDK samples.
Thanks alot.
