Right now we are connected to a server and running roaming profiles.  The user that it's giving me the error for is no longer here.  Does this mean that I will have to install on the current users for this to work for my new user?

I've never used BW in roaming profiles. I run one PC per user, but in sharing cases I'ved had to run the bwprofile.exe, especially in remote desktop

Whom ever was the 1st user for the BW install  was basically   the "MASTER" account

You may have to do the "/noprofile" switch to get another install,  or wipe the PC

"\\[server name]\Sage\BWProg\Client Setup\Sage BusinessWorks\setup.exe" /noprofile

I believe your issue may be due to the roaming profiles.  Although you may not be getting this exact error it has some additional things to try and discussed issues with roaming profiles - article Error: "The database version of the client is not the same as the database version of the server. You must first install the client before you can run this program. Client version 0.00 or 20xx" (19897)
