Error telling me the Profile install is 2015, but original install on this computer is 2013-HELP

I can quickly find the solution to the issue of trying to install a new user profile and the error says the profile install is 2013 but the install on the pc is 2015.  Just update the bwprofile.exe via the service pack. I wish that were my problem, that would be easy.

HOWEVER I have the opposite problem.  My error says that the original install on my pc is 2013, but the profile.exe file is 2015.  I need to login as original user and upgrade BW to 2015.  

It is almost as if the Client installer I am using is old.  However when I run the client install as admin and then open businessworks to test it out ,I check my version and i have 2015 SP 7 so it is running 2015!

has anyone else had this and if so HELP, I am losing my mind trying to solve it.

    Although you error message is slightly different , I would recommend reviewing Knowledge Base article ID #17609 Error: "The Sage BusinessWorks installation originally performed by user xxx on this workstation is version yyy." This also resolves errors like.."The Sage BusinessWorks installation originally performed by user xxx on this workstation is version yyy. The installation can only run if the original installation is version zzz" when installing Sage BusinessWorks ". This resolution does discuss running the /noprofile install. If this does not resolve your issue and you continue to have errors with the install, then I would recommend working with a support analyst directly by calling 800-447-5700.
