I am moving bw 2012 to a new server have backed up system and data and moved them over, all seems to be good, do I need to do any thing else for licensing on the new install?

SUGGESTED

The path for clients will be the same so doubt that I need to re-install the client software on client computers, but wondering if there is some licensing requirements on the new server install for sage

If your on a domain, I would say yes to reinstalling all the client PCs.

I moved it and all seems to be well, rather simple really. I kept the server name the same so prog and data paths did not change for the clients, just pulled clients off of domain, installed new server, backup/restore BW, then re-attach clients back to new domain.

It appears you have already accomplished your move. In the future, there is also a document on the Knowledge Base "How to move Sage BusinessWorks Accounting 2015 to a new server or location" that gives you all the steps you need. There is nothing you need to do for licensing for moving to a new server. Generally, it is recommended to uninstall on the client workstation and rerun the client setup after you install on the new server. If you do experience any issues on the client workstations, I would recommend uninstalling the client and rerunning the client set up from the new server.
    Thanks for using Sage!
