It is almost that time of year where messages you haven’t seen for a year start popping up.  In Accounts Receivable, the “REJECTED – Entry is to a future year” error can start occurring.  This doesn’t mean you have to close the current year in Accounts Receivable – it means someone forgot to close last year! 

In Accounts Receivable, you can post a transaction up to one year into the future. When this error appears, the date on a transaction is more than one year past the Year end date in Accounts Receivable.  As you get closer to your fiscal year end – verify that Accounts Receivable is already in the current year so you avoid these error messages!  To verify what your current year is, go to AR Settings  and make sure your year end date is for the current year and not last year!
