Moving to hosted solution for 100 Contractor. Has anyone use Swizznet, or can you recommend other solutions?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site/forum.  I recently took over IT for a company that is using 100 Contractor installed on site.  We must upgrade to the newest SQL based version, but don't currently have the server capacity to meet minimum requirements.  For this and a number of other reasons, we've decided to go with a hosted solution.  Several months prior to my arrival a quote was obtained from a Sage hosting company called Swizznet.  I don't know much about them yet, except that they are fairly local to us.  For 10 users and 50GB storage, the monthly rate is $770.

For whatever reason, despite the prior IT admin informing the CFO and others of the situation, no due diligence was performed to narrow down and vet options for hosting.  I've been in this job barely a month and this is now at an urgent status.  So I'm inclined to just go with Swizznet and hope it goes well.  But of course, I should at least ask around a bit.

Does anyone have good insights or pointers regarding the pro/cons and trade-offs of a hosted solution vs. on premise?  One thing I've read is that administrative access requires RDP, at least with one provider.

And it turns out I don't know what is the best category for this discussion...I guess conversion?
