REAL Sage Support is nonexistent

I purchased Sage 100 Contractor in May 2018. I was sent a link to download the 2014 software! When I go to support and try to download the current version I get a message that I do not have an active Business Care Plan. I have talked to sales and technical support. I tried to call Contractor 100 Support but they no longer take phone calls and only support by chat now. I have already had two chats and four unsuccessful phone calls. Every person I talk to transfers me to a different department and then my call gets dropped. I just want to talk to someone that can give me access to the software I purchased.

    Hello

Thank you for reaching out. Our Support team does require an active support plan for advanced assistance where we remote to your machine etc., and the access to downloads and other product resources that are gated and can only be accessed by those on an active support plan.

Although Sage 100 Contractor version 2014 is retired, the KB: 79836 is still available for downloading the full product installation of version 19.8.

    Your options are:

    1. If you have another computer with the install on it, check the local Sage100Con\Common\Installation folder (for example, C:\Sage100Con\Common\Installation) for an Sage100Contractor_Setup.exe file that you can copy to the other machine.

    2. Our Sage Accountant’s Network members may also have access to Sage 100 Contractor downloads. Use our Partner Locator / Sage Match: https://app.sagematch.com/ to get in touch with a consultant who can help.
    • Hopefully someone will reach out to you via this Sage City post as well.

Note that security of data is extremely important, for this reason we recommend being current with all software and systems. We recommend migrating your data to version 21.1 (2018) using the utility in Database Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
