Both plans give you your software updates and upgrades as well as unlimited access to Sage Technical Support.  But before spending time with CHAT, register for your own customer portal account and look up the error messages yourself.  https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/microsites/microsite.do

There are hundreds of helpful articles in the knowledgebase of the customer portal and many of the error messages are easily fixed.
