Interface Revit with Sage

Hello, I am very new to Sage but an expert in AutoCAD and Revit. I am looking for an interface to be able to export from AutoCAD and Revit into the Sage process. Including change descriptions, DWG/RVT/PDF locations, and user notifications. Any help would be appreciated.

That's going to take a check with a lot of zeros. Cool You say "into the Sage Process"  what process would you be talking about? and what type of information do you want to bring in?

We are in Construction (Kitchen design). I want the ability to have our Revit/AutoCAD design team to "Push a button" and here whats to happen: 1) Alert the group associated to that project that something has changed. 2) Specify which CAD sheet, Revit file, and PDF file were updated. 3) Allow access via possibly a hyperlink to the affected file(s). 4) keep a running history to what just happened. 5) Push the affected information into the proper "Sage" parameters. 6) update the "Sage" information related to that project. Wash building windows every Wednesday. OK maybe not the last one :-).

Sage is mostly for Accounting and our company wants to use the Sage interface for these functions as well.

Thank you for the prompt response.

This is going to take a lot of planning, probably with your reseller.  Here are your questions. If a CAD sheet, Revit file or PDF file were to be updated how would any software know?  If these were records in a database it would be easy but if a file in a folder somewhere on the network changes it's like a tree falling in the forrest with no one around. How would you know?  And what in MAS would be linked to the CAD sheet, Revit file and PDF file? An inventory item? A Bill of Material? A Job in Job Cost?  And where would the running history be kept? And just what "Sage Information" are you talking about? A Bill? A Job? A Work Order? Don't know about the windows but it can halt the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef.

The tree falling is what is happening now. We are manually alerting our field/Accounting on changes we make. I currently write LISP routines in AutoCAD and have made some to deal with these issues (Outside of Sage) Our management thinks this can be done within Sage. It takes me less than a day to write a routine. I have no idea how long it would take for a Sage interface.

I would like everyone's Dashboard to be alerted associated with the job of changes made to CAD files and Revit Projects.

I would settle for a simple carpet cleaning.

    Thanks again,

I would think that we are not the first company that uses Sage in the construction industry. This type of information would be common place for any construction company.
