Have you tried the "Employees Totals by Period" for "prior year" under the Employee Totals group in Payroll?   I believe this is a canned report provided by Sage. 

I did see that report. I was looking for Grand Totals for everything at the end. Similar to what the Check Journal Summarizes but not just employee totals..  The Check journal only works on the new.prt file; I need it to work on the current.prt file

There is a version of the Check Activity with Detail report that prints totals:

You have to enter the items you want totaled at the prompt when you run the report, so depending on how many you have, you may need to run it more than once.

Thanks for this report. I wish it did not have a limit to the items.  The auditor was looking for a single report with ALL the data on it. I have saved this and I will see how I can get it to work. Thanks again.
