Certified Payroll Report -- NY

Question

It looks as if we had a consultant previously do some modification on the Certified Payroll Report for one of our companies that is working in NY. Looking at the report it looks as if the PR - Employee Employee Class field was added as the main change. After talking with Payroll, this should be the PR-Time Union Class field that is needed for the report. I have yet to figure out a way by changing the fields and then changing the print control options that I can have it print if the employee has multiple records for a pay period that tie to two different Union Classes. I've checked the raw data and there are indeed two fields that it should be pulling the data into the report for.

Print the Data Dictionary from within Report Designer for the PR - Daily Dist Record (Tools > Available Fields). At the bottom of the last page you will see "Standard Orders" which define the built-in standard sort orders. The "Certified Report Order" is listed there, showing the sort order as: Period End Date, Job, Employee, Check Sequence, Certified Class, Pay Type, Rate. In the sort order for the report design you would need to choose a "Custom Sort" order and replicate the sort fields except to replace the Certified Class field with the Union Class.

You would also need to modify the sort order of the report by substituting PR-Time Union Class for PR-Employee Employee Class.
