Direct Deposit -

Options - Originator -Direct Clearer Code. Canadian payroll. Our bank does not know what this code is and it seems it is required because we keep failing our test runs to the bank. Can someone tell me what this 1 or 2 digit code is?

In our setup, the originator code is a 10 digit ID. This ID was provided to us by our bank, or our bank's clearing house, as part of the setup of our payroll EFT facility. The  last two digits of this ID are "80". I think this is the baud or bit of the eft file (not sure). When we set up our EFT, there was another selection for the baud but I think it was a three digit number and I cannot remember what it was. I cannot see any other two digit number in our setup. The bank is three digits, the branch is five and the account is either seven or twelve (if I remember correctly). Hope this helps.

It is the 7 digit "Settlement Account #" that our CIBC bank wants inputed into the direct deposit set up.  This is a 7 digit account # and I see no space for this account in the set up.  I am looking at the Direct Deposit Options screen.  Nobody at Sage can help me and nobody at the bank can help.  The bank says that this information is missing in lines 1264 to 1276 of the EFT file.
