Job Status

Question

The 3 Basic Job Statuses are not enough for me. Everytime I run a WIP, etc. it pulls everything that is In Progress. But if I close the job (during closeout for example) then we cannot continue to enter costs, etc. I'm guessing there is no way to add another Job Status in 300 CRE

Hi NPCM, 
 You are correct, currently there are only 3 job statuses. You can submit an enhancement request from your Help menu under Web resources to make our development team aware of the need for this. 
 In the meantime I wanted to make sure you were aware that you can continue to post entries to a closed job if you turn off the setting "Do not allow entry to closed jobs" in JC Settings.

Hi, just wanted to let you know our current work around for this. In Job Cost > Setup Jobs, there are customizable fields on the "General" tab. We have edited one of those fields to be "Pending CL" (for pending closure). This way we can run a list of open jobs and add the column for Pending CL to the query and see which jobs should not have time entered against them during the close-out period. Hope this helps you. (But you're right, another status would be ideal!)
