Hi...If you go to GL / Tools / Customize...then under the General Tab there is a "Print to File" box that may be ticked.  If you untick that box then it should stop Sage from defaulting to "print to file" for you.

Under Tools > Options there is a Journals tab where automatic journals can be turned on/off. However this is a global setting that will affect all users so you'll want to determine the impact to everyone else before turning that off.

The Journals setting is more for tasks, so since this is happening with all reports, maybe it has to do with your printer object. What is the printer you select when running the reports?

that print to file was selected. We do print out and file everything in house, so i don't think that disabling it will be an issue.

Are you saying you're going to test turning off Journals in Tools > Options?
