Can you print (either to PDF or paper copy) a printout? It doesn't give me the option when I have the printout open.
Explain what you are doing?
I have a blue ribbon at the top of the page, and in right corner a picture of a printer
can you do a screen shot
Too small to see...
Have you tried Ctrl-P to bring the Print window up?
I can see the Print Icon on the upper right under the X. What happens when you click that?
What a simple solution for paper print, mine is on the top left but it didn't work last time I tried. Maybe I clicked slightly off the button. However, do you know how/if it can be made into a PDF?
If you choose print-to-file, you can then change the Save As type to PDF.
For future print jobs: We have our printer setup defaulted to the TS PDF printer so all print jobs are done as pdf's and not prn files. It is great, no need to worry about issues with the print viewer anymore.
How do you set up the default to PDF versus prn files?
If you have the print out open then click on File, Print and choose to print to PDF. For example you sent the file to a .prn file but need to send it to someone as a pdf later. File, Print will know that you have a print file open and use it. It's like a 2nd chance to print the file. Is this what you were trying to do?
You can definitely do it for each report when selecting print to file or you may want to auto default it for all reports by either going (if on desktop) to Applications/Common Tasks/Print Setup, select TS PDF Generator from the drop down list. Or if in an application then it would be File/Print Setup, select TS PDF Generator. Either of these will do a change for all applications per the workstation. We also default our computer printer to "CutePDF writer" (not required for to do pdf with Sage) as we are virtually paperless. Note: I have notice that there are a very select few reports that revert to prn but it seems to be pretty rare.
Thank you
I think Mary answered my question. I wanted to see if it would automatically default to the pdf every time and save me from having to select it every time. Thanks
