We currently have several vendor accounts setup in accounts payable because we have multiple address to send checks to. But this gets confusing. Is there a way to have multiple remit to addresses under one vendor account?

Responding to follow. I have this question as well.
I would llike this also.... I agree!
Hi Heather,
At this time, Accounts Payable only maintains one address for the vendor. For more information, see Sage Knowledgebase article 40077 Can more than one address be entered for a Vendor in Accounts Payable?
There isn't a way to set up multiple addresses for a remittance address in accounts payable as you would like to do. The way you are doing this, with multiple vendor id's for the different addresses is one way. Another way would be to set up the vendor as a "Summary" vendor which would require you enter the vendor name and remittance address for each invoice. (With a Summary Vendor the check prints the Vendor's Name and Address from what you entered into the Summary Vendor's box during invoice entry.) You would also mark this vendor as One Invoice per Payment which likely uses more check stock. A Summary vendor's payments accumulate 1099 amounts so only use a Summary vendor if you are not sending this vendor a 1099 or the tax ID for the vendor is the same across all the locations.
An example of the setup for a Summary Vendor would be: Vendor ID = CityElec; Vendor Name = City Electric, Address is blank, Vendor Type is Summary, Payment Settings Tab = 1 Invoice per Payment box is checked.
During Invoice Entry: CityElec would be your vendor ID and then a box will pop up. You'll have to type: City Electric, 100 Main Street, Anytown, ST 99999. Then one check will print for only this invoice when you run AP checks.
I also think a Summary Vendor's invoice won't import from SM purchase orders. https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=39810&sliceId=1&isLoadPublishedVer=&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_Article&stateId=429&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=26171&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl&openedFromSearchResults=true
