email received from "Sage Solutions Administrator"

SOLVED

Received a pretty official e-mail from SageSolutionAdministratorNoReply, wanting me to login to a Microsoft Admin account regarding a Microsoft Azure subscription.  I am always skeptical.  Is this a real this Sage is sending out?  Do I really have to do this, because we would rather not?

I received the same email. It looks sketchy, with just enough information to seem authenthic.  I look forward to seeing if others received the same email.

    SUGGESTED

    Hi

Thanks for reaching out and being vigilant! Checking with the Sage 300 CRE team to confirm, we do have this article with details on what to do if you've received a communication as a Sage 300 CRE user related to a subscription to Microsoft Azure Active Directory. It's not clear what email address this comes from though.

Our domain would end with sage.com typically, so I'd suggest forwarding the email to our team at [email protected]. They'll be equipped to investigate whether it's phishing or fraud related.

Will update this thread with any news.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi

Update and good news that the emails are not spam. The email would be from [email protected] and would have a paragraph at the beginning worded something like the below:

    • "Sage Software previously emailed you to assist you in setting up your subscription with Microsoft. This email contains a button that is no longer valid. This email will help you with further recruitment If you wish, you can renew your Microsoft subscription."

The team advised that these emails represent customers who received an invitation email before January 2023. The links in those emails are no longer valid so the email was resent.

Thank you , for taking your time and verifying this for me.  I am relieved that to know that it was a valid email, but do not have any record of receiving the earlier email.  I am still unclear as to what we would need the Microsoft Azure subscription for, and if it is absolutely necessary.  For background, let me say that this company is closing permanently before year end, and I have been brought back out of retirement just to close out all the accounting.  In this situation, I am hesitant to introduce anythng new.  If you (or anyone) have any advice for me, or could provide any clarification, I would really appreciate it.

    Hi

Using the email tied to your Sage City profile here, I was able to find that both "Sage 300 CRE Information Assist w-Mobile" and "Sage 300 CRE Azure AD Basic US" are showing as "active" on the account 400xxxxx349 since 11/06/2018. There was no charge for these and the offer does not expire. There is no deadline to respond. The article here shares that to take advantage of Mobile Intelligence, review the following KBs:

For your purposes, as the company is closing down, you can ignore the setup as an active Business Care plan is required to access, and use, the Mobile Intelligence solution.

    Hope this helps!

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
