I am interested in how it goes for you. We just implemented Bamboo but we are net integrating it with Sage.

I just had a meeting with our PR Implementation Manager with BambooHR/TraxPayroll and I killed the idea of integrating Sage300 CRE 23.1 with a 3rd Party Payroll Processor.  It seems these 3rd Party Payroll Processors aren't set up for processing construction payrolls and are for either white collar jobs or for manufacturing jobs that aren't truly job costed.

In the end, it could have been done, but would have required me to do PR in both places and then reconcile out.  Something that just doesn't make sense.  I still struggle with it because BambooHR could easily collect all the data in timetracking and then the PR processing part of it and the exporting side of it should be easy; but I think because they didn't develop the PR processing internally (they bought TRAX) some of the integrations are missing or not there.

Integrating anything Payroll related is not possible. I have wasted a lot of time money and energy trying to integrate or outsource payroll... it's more work and in the end not worth it.

You can integrate the Time portion easily. But, that means you are doing PR in the system. I agree, it is really hard to get an import file from a 3rd party PR processor that works well. In that case, you are importing it as an Invoice in AP or Direct Cost entries in JC which comes with it's own problems.

Are you using the BambooHR TimeTracking portion?  I am still considering that to at least get time entries into Sage300 CRE instead of paper timesheets they fille out daily.

If you didn't use the time tracking portion of BambooHR, what (if any) did you do to track time entries.

No, I'm not using BambooHR but I am using a different time-tracking software. It's not hard to create a good import template for the time entries only. You can download the template from PR-Tools-Import Time.
