Aatrix error

SUGGESTED

Anyone else having issues with Aatrix?  When I try to launch either the state or federal e-file in the PR module I get this message

"unable to launch Aatrix e-file"

We recently started hosting our software with a 3rd party and they have done everything possible to try to help but nothing is working.  I have admin rights on my PC, in Sage and on their hosted server.

It's specific to the PR module as I tried it in AP for 1099's and it works with no issues?  Sage support is currently working with support from our hosting vendor and nothing they have tried is resolving the issue.

    Hi  ,

Thank you for reaching out. It sounds like you've done thorough work with your admin rights and your hosting service's support to resolve the "unable to launch Aatrix e-file" error, but to no avail.

Considering that Aatrix works in the Accounts Payable module but not in Payroll, and Sage support alongside your hosting vendor hasn't yet resolved it, you might be facing a specific issue within the PR module setup. The articles suggest a few potential solutions:

    1. Verify that the Withholding EIN is correctly entered in the Payroll Setup under Taxes and Tax Groups for the US Federal tax group. This missing information can sometimes cause errors with Aatrix e-filing.

    2. Ensure that all updates for Sage and Aatrix have been properly installed. This includes the Sage 300 CRE year-end update, which can affect form printing and e-filing.

    3. Check for the proper permissions on the workstation, specifically read/write permissions to the Aatrix directory, and if necessary, run the Aatrix manual update as an administrator.

    4. Look for any shortcut files within the Printouts directory specified in File Locations that could be causing issues. If found, move them to a different location to see if this resolves the error.

If you've already tried these steps without success, it might be time to delve deeper into the specific setup of your hosted environment with your IT team, as the issue might be unique to the hosting configuration for the Payroll module.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if there's anything more we can do to assist you. Here's the link to Chat with support as well.
