Under PR - PR Settings - Current Month:  Does the setting match the month you're trying to post to?  If it's last month, you need to close the month before you can post checks. 

It is still in January. I will still have payroll next week that will have a pay week in January. If I close the month, won't it affect next week's payroll?

Every entry or posting task in Sage 300 CRE produces a journal, which is a recap of what happened. These journals are either printed to your printer or saved as a print file.

You can access the print file by going to File, Printouts and browsing to where the printouts are saved. If you are unable to find the printout, try the task again and use Printer Setup to print the journal to ayour printer or click Select File to save it somewhere where you can find it.

Payroll will not post any checks with a check date in the future, so if your check dates are February, those checks will not post until you close the month.
