If you're getting a red circle with a line through it, try using the "?" button in the upper right-hand corner under Manage Favorites.  It explains how to make a new group and drag the items.

There is no red circle, but when I try to drag the item into favorites it will not allow me.  It does not stay in the favorite side when dragged over.

The first image is one where the item won't be added. It is showing the red circle thing. The second one is how it will look when it is ready to add an item. You let go of the mouse button when you see this and it should add the item. 

Are you never seeing the "Add after" message? Or, are you seeing it but it never adds the item?

Thank you!  I figured it out now.  I was dragging below the folder name instead of onto the folder and that allowed me to add it.  Finally noticed the red circle.  Many thanks to Rhonda and KaySong70 for the help.  Have a great day!
