ZSI a well-established and growing commercial carpentry firm located in Delaware County, PA. with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Asst. Controller to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, assisting with budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting principles and regulations. This role is critical to our company's financial stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Oversite for accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in Annual Review and preparation of financials for submission to Accounting Firm
- Sales Tax Filings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in SAGE 300 CRE and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
