Did you close the 1099 Year for 2023? In AP, there are two closes for the year, one for AP transactions and one for the 1099 totals.

Yes I closed both. Wondering if there is a setting somewhere else?

What report are you running?

If you check AP - AP Settings it will show you the 1099 Year and the Year on the screen.  These should advance each time you close the 1099 Year and the Year.  I would suspect that someone didn't close the 1099 Year maybe for 2022 or 2021, etc. and so the 1099 Year is still sitting in 2023.  What you closed may have been an older year.  This may mean that 1099's have not had the correct amounts, I'm sorry to say.  

Thank you. The year reflected when I closed was 2023. I am wondering if it's because GL has not been closed for the year. 

GL being closed or not closed should not affect the AP 1099 total on the vendor setup. And those totals should be what the report is pulling. If I knew which report you were running, I could look at it in Crystal or Report Designer and see if there was something in the back end causing the issue. I'm just not sure which report you are having issues with.

Also, have you checked a vendor to see if the prior year (2023) 1099 total and the current year (2024) 1099 total on the vendor setup are correct?

It says it's pulling from the AP Master. There are options to change from the current year to prior year.  It shouldn't matter if GL isn't closed for 2023.  Are the amounts for a particular vendor correct under their 1099 tab for the current 1099 year?

Reports - Miscellaneous - 1099 Prep.  It says it's a "Special Report" but when I had "AP 1099 Preparation Report by Vendor" open in RD, it wouldn't let me access it in AP - so I think this is the report.  

Thank you so much for your help. I have now verified that the amounts for last year were off, and therefore, the year prior was most likely not closed.
